Nomination and a note
Lately I’ve found I have a lot to say. Twitter is great, but I can’t always squeeze everything I want to say into 140 characters. And so, the inaugural post on ‘Sports on the Side.’
Yesterday, I was honored to be nominated as a ‘Sports Business Up and Comer’ in the Inaugural Sports Business awards on TheBusinessOfSports.com. I know I won’t win (my association with TBOS precludes that) but looking at the nominees for that award and others, I am humbled and honored. I tweet and blog (on TBOS) about sports business because that is what interests me. Why do fans connect so fully with their teams? What can brands do to get a better ROI on their sponsorships? How does social media fit into the mix?
All of that can be found in other places. ‘Sports on the Side’ will be my take on what’s going on in the world, sports and otherwise, plus a sprinkle of what’s going on in my own life. Since I’m graduating in 25 days and currently looking for a job, I’m guessing at times life will get pretty interesting.
